Georgia Assessonline Instructions

 
  The Georgia Professional Standards Commission and Riverdeep have teamed together to provide an assessment package designed to assist in the professional development of Georgia's educators.

Please follow the 12 steps provided below to create your account and begin using Georgia AssessOnline.
 
1. Launch Internet Explorer.
2. In the Address Bar at the top of the page enter http://gapsc.riverdeep.net/ and click Go. The Welcome to Georgia Assessonline! window will open.
3. Single-click the "Click here to proceed to the assessment" link.
Note: Select the "Click here to learn more about Georgia Assessonline" link to view the FAQ's for this assessment process.
4. If you have already established your Login ID and Password you may enter this information in the appropriate fields and click the Login button. First time users continue with step 5 to establish a user account.
5. Click the "click here to create a new account link".
Note: An "Access Code is required to establish a new Georgia Assessonline account. This access code is provided to you by your testing proctor. If you have not received this code contact your proctor to obtain this.
Non-disclosure note: This contract access code is the property of the testing company, and may not be revealed to others. The contract access code and all other information presented to you as part of the online assessment are protected by copyright laws as intellectual property belonging to Riverdeep Corporation, and you must not reveal the test items or the nature of the test or the contract access code to any other person. Failure to observe this non-disclosure requirement may be viewed as a breach of the Georgia Code of Ethics for Educators.
6. Single-click the "click here for a detailed search" link.
7. Special districts have been established. Click the arrow to the left of the District field and select the district that applies to your position as outlined below:

  • Georgia Educators in P-12 Schools: Select your school district from the list that appears. For example, if you are in the Bacon County Schools district you would click once on the Bacon County Schools listing to select this.
  • Georgia Educators not in the P-12 Schools: Select the GAPSC School district from the list.
  • Georgia State Department Employees: Select Georgia State Dept of Educ from the list that appears.
  • Georgia ITT Employees: Select Georgia ITT from the list

  • 8. Schools and organizations have been established to correspond with each district. Click the arrow to the left of the School field and select the school or organization that applies to your position.

  • Georgia Educators in P-12 Schools: Select your school from the list that appears.
  • Georgia Educators not in the P-12 Schools: Select the Educators not in GA Public P-12 Schools.
  • Georgia State Department Employees: Select the appropriate school or organization from the list that appears.
  • Georgia ITT Employees: Select the appropriate school or organization from the list that appears.

  • 9. Fill out the form that appears.
    Note: Fields marked with red asterisks are required fields. If you do not have your own personal e-mail address, use some other e-mail address where a message can be relayed to you. This entry field is important; because the e-mail address you enter is the place you receive information about your Login ID and password if you forget them at some time in the future. It is important for you to remember the Login ID and Password which you create. Neither your school system nor the PSC will know your password and login id.
    10. Click the Create account button. A message will appear indicating the account has been successful created.
    11. Click the "Please go to the login page" link to return to the login page.
    12. Enter your Username and Password into the appropriate fields and click the Login button.
